    Default DNS Problems

I've been having some weird dns problems recently that I can't explain and thought I would turn to you guys for help. I have a couple of websites running on a vps at the moment and one of them I just had a problem connecting to for a couple of hours yesterday and a couple of hours today. First though was the server is down so I check and all my other sites are fine and all even resolving to the same nameserver.

The site is up, just certain regions are having intermittent problems connecting by the looks of it.

Any input would be greatly appretiated.

Site seems fine to me if it's Welcome to [img] Server, a free image upload solution. Simply browse, select, and upload! ? Are you still getting problems?

The problems I am having are isolated to certain regions. The server itself is fine, the nameservers are also fine. So the site isn't down, just unreachable for certain people.

Has the site in question had any recent IP, or other DNS type changes such as registar, name servers, etc?

No changes at all. That is why it had me completely stumped. There are sites running on the same nameserver and the same server that are completely fine yet this one seems to have problems.

Does it have a static IP? If so do you have PTR records 'reverse dns for it' activated?

It seems weird to only cause problems with one domain though.

    Thanks for the input though

Well heres a little update. I have changed my dns manager on my server to bind and now it appears less places are having this problem (according to host-tracker) so ill leave it 24 hours when all isp's caches should have been cleared and see where I stand I think.
