Layered Tech VPS Hosting ??

I received the free 1 year Layered Tech VPS Hosting I only got SSH login credentials IP address

I am getting no clues how do I actually manage websites host sites ?

Can anyone please guide me

Do I have to install everything .. I am a total newbie so detailed instruction will be highly appreciated..

Well giving you detailed information here might take up quite a few pages. Why don't you go ahead and purchase some ebooks on maintaining and administrating servers.

I see that it's empty

and I have to install a control panel and setup everything .. I can't afford the price for Cpanel and is there any alternative to it.

I thought asking at forum would be quick because you get straight answers.

I also ordered a Free VPS from Layered Tech. But I have not received the VPS yet. I had a chat with their live chat representative about installation of control panel. But they haven't been able to clarify me what control panel I will be able to use in their VPS. I mainly prefer cPanel and Direct Admin as hosting control panels.

They should have provided a simple control panel with the VPS.

It took me more than 1 months after signup and yesterday only I Received it and it's blank

I don't see any control panels looks like I will have to install everything myself but this is my first time and I don't have any clues

So I need guidelines.
