Thread: Server managment

Anyone suggest a good server management company?
I do a lot of my own server management 'but' some stuff I prefer someone who is paid to do it, such as migration, and to have a backup in case I can not figure something out.

I just started with a new management company and so far I am not please one bit, not one bit at all...

I get full management from my dedicated provider, but I do most things myself.

What kinds of things do you prefer to have a company do for you?

I like having 'backup' just in case.
I do most myself as well, but like right now i have the management company migrating my servers. I could do it myself, but why bother if someone else will do it for me and I'm already paying for management

Sometimes I have my ISP do things for me to save time.

I haven't done much migration (except from moving cPanel accounts from one server to another). You know I'm decent with cPanel and CentOS/RedHat if you ever want me to do the odd job here and there.

It's been 5 days and not a single site is properly 'migrated' yet.

1 server is for the most part loading on the new server, other server is not

Well this server management company is a NIGHTMARE

That is who I want to RUN from. Worst experience ever from a management company in my life.

They were great last time I used them, I wonder what happened.

IDK, they are 'ok' now that the migration has finally been carried out. The migration however was a nightmare.

I do not use any Managed services myself because I have people in-house in the company to manage my own projects. And as far as we do management for our own customers and never had such an issues. However I have seen that many people discussed a company called Platinum Server Management.

Grim, did you ever get this resolved? Wind up leaving?
