Thread: Can someone help me with BIND DNS

I am trying to setup a webserver. want to use my domain synexhosting.com as the nameserver as ns0.synexhosting.com and ns1.synexhosting.com and I want to setup stupidpeopleawards.com to point to my webserver.

I am getting frusturated... Any help would be appreciated

Are you not using a control panel like WebHostManager?

Yeah, cause you can set them up in WHM I'm pretty sure, but anything else and I wouldn't know, let's hope someone who knows comes along.

I dont have a control panel really advanced. I do use webmin for some things. Otherwise I just use putty and remote into my linux box.

But I am all set I got everything working with the help of a friend. Hopefully tonite I will get mysql setup and phpmyadmin and then get my new site up!

If you have a control panel installed for items such as this I'd really suggest using the control panel as it #1 makes things much easier, #2 you can easily break the system doing certain things without the countrol panel, as the panel itself can have custom settings for certain items.

To access your domain stupidpeopleawards.com on the web, you will need to setup the account through your control panel on the server by properly editing the DNS settings as well as you will need to contact your domain registrar to edit the DNS settings at there end.
