Thread: Niche directory - have some questions

I have just created my first directory ever, so any and all suggestions are welcome

The directory is intended to only list blogs that are primarily about programming, coding, etc. I am still building up the categories and tweaking it and I wanted to get some feedback on my progress so far.

I decided to go for a niche directory because there seems to be so many general directories out there, and I wanted something sort of specific.

The thing I'm wondering about is categories. I have tried to divide them into broad categories, but I'm wondering is there a way to enable people to submit the same link to different categories, or to tag their link with different categories, in one step, without having to do multiple submissions?

Looking good.
In your admin panel, there is somewhere that you can tick off to let people submit to different categories.
But they would still have to resubmit each time.

Check the forum at phpld and see if there is a mod already for what you want to do.
IF not, ask there.

Does the layout look okay? I want it to look professional and I thought the Blue Theme was a good one to go with.

Perhaps try to experiment on making it a bit lighter... Try to incorporate the color white more in your template Just a suggestion

Thanks, I'll try that. I don't have much experience with phpLD templates, this is my first ever directory and the first time I am using phpLD so I'm still figuring it all out.
