Thread: phpld2 vs. phpld 3

Does anyone here use the free version of phplinkdirectory? (phpld 2)

How is it? Is it just as good as the paid one? Would you recommend it?

Free version doesn't have nearly as many features or as much support, I would not recommend it.

It's been so long I can't honestly tell you the differences, I just know there's enough that it's worth getting the paid version.

Definitely get the paid.

I am still running a few versions of the free and wow do they get spammed!

Yep, sprung for the paid one. Its only 25 dollars and I'd earn it back

i just upgrade from v 2 to version 3 and i want to say that i am impressed! check version 3 of phpld you will like it.

phpld 3 has a lot of nice features missing from 2 so it's worth upgrading.

I am looking forward in getting version 3 as well.

Hey, thanks everyone for using phpLD. We are still working on making it better and better.

I think that is the best script around (PHPLD3). I have searched for more options but nothing is comparable to it.

I am using both versions on my different directory.
and I will prefer for (PHPLD3).

yup its just $25 with more security.its worth spending $25 go for it.

How much is renewal costs after first year? is not mentioned on website!

I use phpld2 right now and I have not had any problems and i like free. lol

IMO, PHPLD v.2 is only for a beginner directory - PHPLD v.3 is more admin-friendly and more secure

I've used those 2 version in my 2 directories -

PHPLD v.2.1.2.
(+) FREE :P
(-) Approve/reject each link submission manually - too many clicks and too many bandwidth use, no auto sitemap generation, no article submission.

PHPLD v.3.3
(+) Full-fledged feature - both article and link submission enabled, multi-link approve/reject - single click.
(-) Paid - But it well worth it. After my PHPLD v.2 dirs get enough submission and strength, I'll pay and migrate to PHPLD v.3
