What is it that you aim after? PageRank, Traffic...Visitors that convert? Thats what really matters...

$60 a year fee??? NO WAY! I wouldn't buy a link from a directory! I don't think it's worth it.

many directions free of charge,and some with small amount,i.e. 20usd.you can do a search in google.60usd/y too expensive

Unless the directory is owned by google. Otherwise i don't think it is worth it.

do G got a paid directory? Some directories are actually worth a dime some are not. BOTW, Business and Yahoo Dir are known to be reliable directories but I will not spend $60 or more for that.

Out right, no I wouldn't buy it. However, if you are in the market for buying directory submissions, this would be one I would purchase. I had a site a few years ago, that without question benefited from being in the BestOfTheWeb directory. Hell, I even got direct traffic from them as well as SEO benefits.

This directory is one of the competitor of Dmoz, Google and Yahoo though i think its expensive one.

Go for the free directories, it might take a bit longer before you get approved but finally it is free and you get the same out of it. There is literally no benefit of a Paid link other then you get approved fast.
