Thread: Which free directories would you submit to?

Im in a niche market so there isnt a great deal of directories for me to submit to. Is there any good free directories that everyone should submit to?

All directories that worth the submission are paid. At least I didn't find any free.

Just submit your site to a specific category on directory. A category that is related to your niche.

Just Google in and you'll get a list of over 1500 directories that accept paid submissions. I am sure if submit it properly you'll definitely get around 500 approvals.

I usually go to different forums and I usually try to find Solicitation and announcement coz usually the tend to offer free directories with fast approval for members of that forum

You don't need to spend time linking with all directories you'll see over the net. Since some of these aren't really updated or some contents/links are similar of the other sites. Got what I mean? Sometimes one owner owns 4-5 directories, which have same contents as the others. It's pretty useless to submit on these sites.

from what i understand the purpose of directory submission, is just to build backlink and increase your SERP..

in case of increasing visitors, you might have to find another ways to achieve that...

I can say that you select the category and according to your category you have to submit it and use of Google where you will get thousand of sites where you may submit your directories according to the topic.

If you're niched then focus on on-topic website links to your site.

Searching in the relevant category will increase more traffic to your site. I suggest you to search for the relevant categories.
