I am a webmaster. I work on number of sites such as travel, business, beauty, health etc.Now I am looking for some new free directory and article lists.

look here's the deal; 90% of the dirs out there are crap, which means it takes a lot of time and research to find the good ones ... nobody is giving those lists away for free

Most of the directories out there have minimal traffic and are not deeply crawled so you won't have much luck with backlinks. Personally I think it's a waste of time doing directory submissions because it takes so long and you get so little in return. That said, I just saw a link on another thread about top trafficked directories: Top Traffic Web Directories - Top Traffic Web Directory List
