Thread: What directory software should I use?

Hi,

I am hoping that you experienced webmasters might have a suggestion on directories. I want to have a belly dance directory. My ex was working on developing a custom directory for me but we divorced so that project obviously was abandoned. It was ibellydance(dot)net and that is kind of the structure I’m wanting.

I should say that while I can muddle through the real basics I am no webmaster. I’m looking for a software that does not require knowledge of scripts or code... Something that is plug and play so that I can administrate it. I’m not looking for something free. I’m not mama war bucks but I am happy to pay for it.

What I’m looking for in a directory is the ability for people to add their own information. And for me to be able to moderate that information. To be able to have many categories and subcategories, and unlimited listings. To be able to customize, at least some of the template, so I can use my graphics. Google ad sense inclusion is important and Paypal integration and google friendly urls. The hosting provider I use, uses a Linux server.

Does anyone know of a software that would be a good starter for me? I appreciate your input and any help or suggestions.
