Default New Directory Script - qlWeb Directory

    Hi folks,
some of you may have already seen or heard but I'll post anyway... Looks to be a rather promising directory script. Will have to keep an eye on this. Directory-Owners.com wishes the qlWeb team lots of luck!

A new directory script is soon to debut. qlWeb Directory Script

Home page is: qlWeb Directory Script

Demo is here: qlweb Directory Script - Demo Site

Features and versions located here: qlWeb Directory Script - Features

Free version download is here: qlWeb Directory Script - Access Denied (available 6/15/2007)

A bit about the new script:

qlWeb is an innovative directory script which has been popularized by over 7,000 directories worldwide. Its unique administrative options and tools offer simple management of content for the directory owner and one step submission process for directory users. Innovative features of qlWeb are designed to attract potential users based on new options that eliminate multiple data entry fields, allow instant approvals and capability to create distinctive subcategories right before submission. These rare functions are well balanced within administrative control of the directory owner.

For the User - submitting to a qlWeb directory can be FAST and FUN
The process of submission is reduced to a single field where the user simply enters the domain name. The script will automatically fetch the title, description and META. Another words, simply enter the link, submit - done.

Unique Options for the Administrator - Features that Users will love
In addition, the user is allowed to create new subcategory related to their domain's topic, which in return will provide unique subcategory structure for the directory. If the admin chooses to implement this option, the user may immediately submit to the subcategory that he or she just created. Prior to final submission the user has an option to revise and make changes to the link's description in order to enhance its unique content. The script also has a feature that allows accepting new links and displaying them immediately upon successful submission or leaving them pending for future review and approval. This auto approval function also offers an on or off option.

    Full Control
Functions mentioned above are strictly controlled through the administrative settings of the directory. The admin has an option to choose auto subcategory creation or auto approval features to be on or off. The script also has a powerful spam/content filter to control undesired subcategories, links, words, phrases, IP's and domain names known to be harmful to the directory content. If a moderator prefers to review submitted sites prior to their approval, auto-responder e-mail system will send out a notification of pending approval.

    Benefits
Introduction of these innovative features to your existing directory will enhance traffic and popularity. Clear benefits of qlWeb script are ease of use and unique features that the end user will appreciate.

Yes the site-sift one does look pretty decent but I ended up going with Index Script Blog Engage Blog Links Directory

Don’t look too bad, loads fast and is an easy installation!

I think this script is nice, if you don.t overpopulate it with lot of features and ads.
