Thread: Create your own free directory?

What do you think of these kind of directories? are they okay?

Pain in the butt to run!
You have to stay on top of them every day, checking out every site to make sure they are good.
Then making sure they submitted to right place.

Nah, free directories are not worth it anymore!

^hmmm...I know but if you're like starting out and no PR yet, how can you make your directory grow?

and uhmm..I was asking about semi-automated directories that are offered for free wherein you can run your own directory etc. etc..
have you encountered anything like this such as 01dir.com?
I would like to know your opinions on this and sorry if i did not make it clear on my first post....

Number one rule for being in any business on the internet:
Get your own domain and your own hosting.

Never try to build any business using any system like that one.
Because it can disappear in a heart beat!

Then templates.
Etc etc etc
