Got an offer via Sedo auctions for apple dot L A .

It's only $180, of which Sedo would take a minimum of $150 because it's "an exotic TLD." Doesn't mean they do any more work, or that it requires more work to transfer a dot com but them's the rules.

If I stick it in the auction it would get a lot more views and more possible buyers. Do you think it's worth a punt?

Take it on Sedo? No..

If the offer was elsewhere, I'd consider it..

Not a TM problem. Even Apple.co.uk isn't owned by you know who.

150 + reg fee = 180.... ZERO PROFIT,

NOT sold.

Obviously at that price it is not a good deal, but what I am considering: is it worth the gamble to get it in front of a lot more eyeballs on Sedo's auction page?

If I lose the gamble I make nothing, but there could be another bidder who wants it for more than the original bidder.

The difference between pushing an "other" domain must be because it is so much more difficult to push a button for a dot sc, dot bz, dot la domain etc. Plus cctlds aren't just as popular as dot coms. Great racket they have going on.

Sedo is defiantly making money from all the fees :evil:

Surely you could get more than that just going out and posting it up for sale in the popular webmaster forums.

I should probably put a little note on DP and NP to see if it gets any interest.

Do me a favour please and look at the Apple dot la listing on this page. I think if over 500 people view the listing it gets put on the front page.

Nearly all of it. $150. Then there was the $35 reg fee, 2 years =$70

Thanks Joseph, but it's now over 500 and not on the featured auctions listings of the front page. There are dot coms and dot nets, but I've just noticed there's a domain, diz.biz, which has received 15 bids, has made more money and still isn't on the front page, while 4 other domains haven't even reached $100 yet. Strange, no? Looking into the featured auction section it says:
