I gotta to quit hanging around with domaineers!

Got another 4 domains today...

gamejackets.com now there are two words that are searched a bunch! Can not believe I got it so cheap!
gamesjacket.com got it the same time as ^

damnreviews.com just sounded so good! going to do reviews on this one.
damnreview.com had to pick up the singular at the same time

My domain portfolio is growing too fast!!!

I keep forcing myself not to buy domains, I know I'd be just like everyone else.

That's gotta be worth somethign buy.

Then months later, selling them all off for a buck. :P

I have just started buying the things, and its fun Except when I go and view them all, and think to myself - what the hell are you going to do with them all?? lol

I have been noticing you (Iowadawg) have been regging and buying a lot of domains recently...........I did have that problem, then I am like:

O.K.: I need to stop regging and buying domains unless I have strong development plans.

I stopped regging a lot and only buy one if I already have my plan ready.

Most domains I buy, not developing them.

Either threw up a landing page on each, or having them redirect to another domain.

At some point, will sell if the money is right.

One domain I got for a pittance, I sold today for $30.00.
So worth it in the long run.
Domaineers buy for the future.

And a lot of them make a good living flipping domains.

Thats what I kept saying with my husband as I list grew to over 500 names. So we have slowly sold off some and I did good. Not buying any without a plan for development. He on the other hand apparently needs to go back to domain rehab or something.

Something about buying them is truly addicting IMHO!

Well, if you buy only to develop, that is one plan of action.

If you buy to resell, research first on the keywords, the search values, and what other domains in the same category have sold for.
I have seen domains like icareforyou.com go for big bucks.

Keeping in mind that right now, putting domains on auction is a hit or miss.
Values of domains have dropped in the past 6 months, and the consensus is that unless the domain is very premium and very keyworded, prices will remain low.

There are buyers out there now who are snapping up 4 letter domains in all tld's cheap.

And once the smoke clears for domains like .in, .me, .asia, .tv and .fm to find the market, domains in .com, .biz, .org and .net will start appreciating back up to good levels.

ok folks, mostly now I buy a domain for my online business. I don't just
buy, since domain investing is WASTE of time but unless you want to develop
them otherwise they won't worth much.

Only a waste of time and money to those that do not know what they are doing.

Domaineers are in it for the money.
I have a domain now I got for about 50 cents (gotta love NP and their NP$) that I got offers on for $15 to $25 so far.
May sell it for the $25 today, or may see if the offers are much higher in the next few days.

I agree. We own names for future money. We have sold some for a few hundred bucks which is pretty good fora $7 investment IMHO. It is just another type of business to learn. You have to think of it as real estate. There are only so many .com or .net etc names out there and if you have the ones that others will want in the future or now...then you take it to the bank!!

One thing you will learn about buying domains for future sale?

Be ready to hold on to them for a very long time!

I just picked up another domain where the guy wanted to get rid of it for cheap.

I used to buy a lot of athlete domains. I still have some...such as chadgeenway.com

I think I have to quit buying domains!

A couple more and I will have 60!

That's why I'm only keeping ones I'm developing.......which is like 5 lol
