And broke even on selling 4 NNNNN.com's.

congrats iowadawg especially on the NNNNN.com's.
Were they premium numbers, doubles? do share lol!

Run of the mill NNNNN.com's.
Though one was a specialized zip code number that is not in use.

Considering all the NNN.com (17576) are registered and I am pretty sure all NNNN.com are also all registered...I don't see why you only broke even on the NNNNN.com's..
anyway congrats on the sales

There are tons of 5 digit .com's available to register.
And most, like mine, made no sense.
One I sold earlier this month, was a 5 digit that was my old address in Texas.

Congrats on your sales.
Do you pickup dropped 5n.coms or buy/sell?

No, do not buy.
Mine I regged out since so many available.
Now trying to unload my two .net's that are 4 letters.

I didnt think they are 5n's left to reg? Unless dropped..?

Just messing around at namecheap and found these two to reg:
yrtop.com
bndir.com

I'm not really a fan of these sort of domains. I prefer domains that are easily understandable. I keep seeing ones like this AQZXB.com going for lots of money and thats just crazy. How can that be a good domain??

It's not.
Just depends on buyers.
I have seen crap domains go for big bucks on sedo and other auctions.
And good one, two and three word domains sit there.

Keep in mind, domainers will buy and/or reg domains and hold onto them until they get the price they want.
Why so many have hundreds to thousands of domains in their portfolios.
And why I am getting out of that.....bad enough holding onto a domain that is developed without having to hold on to hundreds or thousands of domains.
Think renewals fees.....

yeah that's what always puzzles me. You get domainers that have thousands and thousands of domains that they hold for many years. Must cost a fortune to keep renewing them. I very rarely these days pay much for a domain unless it comes with a site or has high pr and traffic. Other wise undeveloped, unless its a real good premium domain there just all worth reg fee in my opinion.

I learned a lot about renewal fees...went on a registering spree on month and registered about 40 info's (at 99 cents)..so a year later had to downsize those info's to about 10 (to the ones that were paying for themselves in parking) or else pay $400.00 in registration (not including currency exchange and sure not in my budget)..now when I register a domain, I figure cost plus $10.00 (next years registration)!

When I got into domaining a few months ago I was under the impression .infos cost .99 to renew also....WRONG! They are like $8!
I'm like , screw this! No more regging just because of .99...
Now I REALLY THINK before I register a domain, no matter what tld...
I know I'm only keeping about 4 I have now..
