Does it make sense to do some domain parking?

I have some good domain names that are available and I am not planning to use them for anything (for the most part, maybe 1 out of 6). I was reading that it is not a very good idea, but other people say they made some substantial amounts of money.
I am not talking about some random names, but names that look like that should have been taken and worth quite a lot. Would you just register and go to sedo.com (or maybe somewhere else, where?)

I think you are better off just selling them off for profit upfront rather than trying to make money via parking with ads. The short and long term benefits are in favor of selling up front now.

I probable go with another name which have my main keyword in domain, It eventually help in getting good ranking on search engine. Small character length domains are easy to remember but in the long run difficult to ranking on search engine. Similarly we need good amount of effort to get ranking on search engine... Cheers..
