The reason for my asking is that I am going to register domain name and got to know that webhostgiant.com offers cheaper domain registration than the other companies ($7.95/year). What do you think? Should register my domains with them?

Never heard of them, I would recommend that you go with GoDaddy for domain regs. You can get then just as cheap or cheaper through them as they always have discount coupons available. In fact there is a thread here in this forum especially for GoDaddy discount coupons Godaddy Coupons! Tested - Webmaster Forum

I would say no. Cheaper is not always betetr. For me, I prefer Namecheap. It is easiest to use and you can transfer names to new owners with ease. I have used a few others including GoDaddy but I prefer Namecheap. They also come with free whois guard for a year.
Here the latest discount code for them for a $8.81 price:
FIRSTSNOW
Yes, Namecheap is also one of the best and I would recommend that as well.
Just remember that your domain registrations are EXTREMELY important so you dont want to entrust them to a company that may disappear tomorrow and leave you with no way to renew or even transfer.

For domains only i tend to use godaddy as well because you know what you are getting with them. But if i need the whole package name, email and hosting i go elsewhere.
I use namecheap, wouldn't trust that stuff.
Use NameCheap, I'm using them for almost a year now and didn't had any problems.
Godaddy is very popular and it is one of the best domain name registrar around.Godaddy very cheap and offers lots of deals as well.
I am a satisfied customer of
Cheap Java Tomcat Reseller Webhosting
Never heard of that.I think you should go with godaddy.
Best Deals from Top Hosts:
Bluehost Discount @ $3.95 - regular price $6.95 / month.
Hostmonster Discount@ $3.95 - regular price $6.95 / month.
You should really never register a domain with a hosting company rather than a real domain registrar. In this case, it appears that webhostgiant.com is a reseller of TUCOWS.
Either Godaddy or NameCheap would be fine. I am happy with both but it seems that NameCheap has a much better reputation than Godaddy. Morover, it includes privacy in the first year. My own preferred Registrar is Resellerclub whose prices will include privacy protection. However, you need to buy in bulk in order for it to be worthwhile.

Stick with:
Godaddy.com
enom.com
moniker.cmo
name.com
idotz.net
Any are good...
I agree that cheaper is not always better however I wouldn't automatically discount them. We were all new at some point and needed people to believe and trust in us in order to build our businesses.
I would suggest looking around their site. How long have they been in business? Do a search on the internet. What complaints about them come up. Are apart of any trusted associations? Who are they reselling for? Find someone who IS registered with them and ask them about their experience.
I've used both Yahoo and Godaddy but eventually settled with Namecheap. I've not had any problems with them.
