Thread: Short Name Domains (5 Characters or Less)

Hey there!
Just wondering the reason why you buy short name domains! I am considering that you do buy them and even if you don't..please share the reasons!

Personally I been buying shortname domains (5 characters or less) for
future investment. Been noticing that registering 3 characters or less in most extension is becoming harder and harder. Even trying to "buy" them is becoming pricey. Ever noticed the selling price of a 3 character (dot) com?

Others might buy shortname domains for
(a) Branding purposes (b) acroymns

I think Branding would be the best reason if you are not wanting to use it as a investment. Make the spelling as easy as you can for TOMA.

Yeah, I would say more for a branding purpose. 5 character domain names are usually a small word, that has a catchy sound to it, used to make your site brand-able, and easy to remember. So I voted for Brandng~!

For all of the above. I have made some decent $ investing in LLLL.com domains in the past but with the economy they are going backwards right now. I have a few 5L.com for branding and I am launching a site soon on a brandable LLLL.com

for me its for future investment purposes.

I voted for Branding. I think that short domain names can easily be memorized which I think it a very good advantage for a website.

I bought a short ccTLD because i liked the domain, to keep it and build a website.

Because they are easy to remember.
