ICANN does not have authority over ccTLDs or COUNTRY CODE TOP-level domain.REgistrars complete with each other to provide the best support and services at the lowest price.

One of the registrars you suggested had a coupon allowing for $1 domains. I went through the check out and they tried to pull a fast one on me and make me pay the full price which is ridiculously high.

I'd rather keep my current host/registrar and pay a lot less.

Many of the domain registrars in the above list are new and it is not a good option to opt for such newly formed companies. You might get into some trouble or may lose your domain. It is always recommended to opt for an old company serving clients from many years such as Godaddy.

Any company that has BBB sealed approval should be good. Your main concern with the new registrars out there would be that they go out of business and you lose your domain.

That is not a domain registrar but I do like the template and layout you guys are using. As for domain registrars, I can't emphasize enough to go with a company that is BBB approved and trusted.
