whats your opinion the on the soon to release .co domains?

i have submit for landrush reg for one domain. i hope i can success to reg it .
.Co domains are not so bad and not so good.

they are just 50 50

Getting a good domain is very difficult these days. The domain you choosed will ensure protection.

I picked up two but haven't had the time to develop them yet.

I think they'll be another red herring, but will make registrars lots of cash!

I think .COM is always better than .CO or anything else. Just my opinion

I doubt anything new will ever come close to the .com suffix. It was the same when they released the .cc domains. In some cases .co may work well however, by and large they will just generate thousands for the registrars.

I think that the .co extension will be slightly more successful than other "generic" cctld's, but not by very much.

There will be an avalanche of dropped .co-domains a year from now, when the initial registrations are to be renewed.

Agree with Menthol, nothing will be able to replace the good old .com

dot com domains are still the standard today and I don't think a dot co will make any in run success quickly. It will take a lot of time and I assume most domains with co will be taken up very quickly but the highest bidders out there.

I will be registering some co domains though. At just under $7 why not get the whole spectrum.

Well, it'll be favorable for those who want to target visitors from Columbia. They can have an advantage with it.

is .co domains are good for SEO purpose

.co will never get the fame of .com, people will just think that last letter is missing

You never know what will happen in future but I think .co is quite interesting normal and someday will get popular.

So, do you know what will happen in future?

.co is attractive extension and it will help to register similar to .com names

If they had aggressively marketed the extsion as .co (company), I think it would have gained some mainstream acceptance as such. As it is, it either looks like a .com typo or a domain from Columbia, take your pick.

Keyword domains will have some value, especially in the beginning because most good .com keywords are long gone or have a squatter sitting on them.

In the long run, given the high re fee, I don't see them as being worth it.. I doubt I'll buy any..
