It is really a nice idea to start a social networking site. It takes lot of time to launch as it needs good team effort.

I would also go something memorable and not too long, max 6,7 characters. Don’t worry about keywords, for social networking site it is not relevant.
I would build the site on .com if it is international and also get other major extensions foe safe keeping.

I dont have time to help you think of a domain, but whatever it is it needs to be very brandable and easy to remember and it MUST be a .com. You should also snatch up any variations of the domain.
