    Default Registrar with free privacy?

Is there any registrar that offers free privacy? Name.com used to but doesnt anymore. I want to move my domains away from them because of this.

    NameCheap.com

If you signup with them this month use their special monthly coupon at checkout it is "GETITCHEAPER" I register domains with them every month and haven't ever had a issue in the five years I have used them.

they offer tons of free stuff including privacy and they offer 24/7 support

I have been using Namecheap for years.

They have good support and prices are like any other registrar.

The privacy (whoisguard) is free when you register a new domain for the first year. When you renew, it cost about $3.

So your dot com domain with whoisguard cost you $10 the first year and $13 after.

The place I get my hosting from and my domain from give privacy protection. I used to be under the assumption that every host gave it for free but now I came to realize only certain ones. Glad I chose one that had it.

I also vote for namecheap.com an name.com. Using both of them. Although domain privacy is free only for the first year and maybe some registrars offer lifetime free whois privacy, I still prefer using those two as they have great offer and excellent account interface. $2-$3 yearly expense for whois privacy isn't factor to change registrar.

Use Domain Name | Internet Domain Registration | Register Domain Names They are offering free private whois and their transfer prices are really awesome I think better than any other domain registrar.

Namecheap is the nuts, but I also like Dynadot's user control panel.

The most recent domains which I have registered with Name.com did not include free whois privacy. Now they want $1.99 per domain.

I have used namecheap.com for 3-4 years, their FREE privacy only lasts 1 year, after which they will try to charge you for it.

Please just be aware of this fact.

Domain transfer is free. what you pay for is one year renewal. Most registrars discount this first year renewal, and call it transfer fee.

Namecheap is good but if you have a time to search, maybe you can look around and probably get better offer..

The only name I have heard so far is the NameCheap, that offers free whoisguard privacy. You may go with them, they are reliable.
