If so, he sold it to Zap for less than renewal fee.

It's not in my namecheap account.

Because it expired.

Enom has control of it now, you have a grace period to expire is for the regular price which I believe is 2 weeks, after that you can renew it for a few months at a heavily inflated fee (over $80)...and then its gone.

Believe when a domain expires, it is about 75 days before it is released.
Unless someone backorders it and that is where all those extra costs come in.

But it has been renewed. If it was expired, it would still have expiry date 2008 not 2009.

Exactly.
It's been renewed by somebody named Hurley.
If I were you, Hurley, I would be letting Namecheap know that you would like to transfer that domain but are unable to because the domain does not show in your account and that you are the Hurley that has control over it and not some other Hurley.

Looks like it was purchased by hurley just a month ago.
