Ha! & I thought dotster charging 15$ s a ripp off
That's quite a hike in costmg:

Who actually would buy from Yahoo!...
its really bad of them making such a bad hike... Looks like they are under heavy loss and have done this.. :P
Thats a real big price difference.![]()
I initially bought some domains with Yahoo for $1.99 for the first year. After that, I transferred all but one to Godaddy.
However, I have left a .org domains with them. It is possible to transfer that but the process is quite complicated. You have to transfer the domain services to Melbourne IT first before you can transfer out. Melbourne IT is the sponsoring registrar for Yahoo domains.
We will never use those sites, all we use is godaddy and namecheap etc![]()

It won't affect domainers because Yahoo! is obviously not meant for domainers....I know know who in the hell it is meant for because who would pay $35 for a .com(assuming they are talking about dot coms) when you can get one for $6 at name.com...

that's too much for a domain
hopefully it's not going to be industry-wide price jump
