Daily Thread "Update" emails

How do I stop the daily thread updates emails? I would like to remain subscribed, but not receive daily emails. I set my control panel setting "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to "No email notification" but I still receive the daily thread "update" emails. They are beginning to flood my inbox

It could be that you subscribed to those threads before changing your setting. I believe 'I could be wrong' that you need to unsubscribe to those original threads for the changes to work.

Yeah, I am not sure, I was going to say what GRIM said, that's all I can think is happening.

Ok, gonna try unsubscribing to all threads to see if that helps. Will update this thread with results

I was able to go to my CP, select all existing subscriptions, and at the bottom select "No email notification" from the drop down menu. Hopefully this works and I don't have to unsubscribe form them

I've been having the same problem but was too embarrassed to mention it! Still, got my answer now so thanks everyone.
