I think a really good idea would be to have a mobile version of WTF. Kind of like namepros.mobi but webtalkforums.mobi or something. A lot of people use PDA's to view websites and this would just expand the coolness. Not to mention I have a PSP I get on the internet with.

The .mobi extension isn't needed to allow the site to be optimised for mobile devices. I'm sure it was Kalina told you this in another thread. Personally I do not see the need. When I have browsed forums on my mobile device before they havent looked all that bad anyway.

Well i dont care if its a .mobi just a mobile version....cuz the forums looked fucked on my psp

Out of curiousity, why would you want to browse on your psp anyway? It lacks a qwerty keyboard.

I thinks its a good idea of getting a .mobi But on the other hand it would be of no use. Since .com can also be accessible via mobile...! But just in case to show that this is a v. popular forum, WTF can have one... (:

I had a client come to me saying he had bought 250 .mobi domains so he coulld sell them (hold to ransom) companies for when the mobile boom came.

Needess to say I nearly cried laughing since it matters 0% on the domain extension to access a site via mobile.

To have the site accessed via a mobile the site would have to remove all width limitations in the code and then use a CSS file to control width elements. Since this is a VB skin, I'm sure that Vbulletin will have a mobile mod out there by now.

I can view the site fine on my Sony Ericsson W910i with Opera Mini. I've heard that the PSP browser is a bit naff anyway

it would be pretty easy to set it up for mobile use but how many people here would use it?

Purely because it isn't really needed. I can access the forum fine using my SE w910i and my nokia n73. It makes no sense to want to post of a device with no qwerty keyboard.

If you only want to browse you may find that Webmaster Forum appears better on your psp.

Surely you can think of a more effective use of your time than trying to post in a forum, using a little thumb stick to browse to each letter? Or maybe not by the looks of it...

Nice way of putting it. Although, it is not really reading it that is the problem. I just believe it makes no sense at all to try and reply with meaninful replies using a thumbstick or 9 keys.
