Thread: Who deleted my sweet little 300 posts ?

Ok.. is there any rule here that posts made in Games section or welcome posts will be deleted...? I mean, I had my posts count of 900+. But later I saw that my posts count was reduced to 500+... :confuse

I'm confused now. I went through the forum rules again. I didn't find any..
It was not only me but most of the members also..!

Is there any such rule?

I had some 400'ish posts, Now its 128

WTF happened to my WTF account ?

I guess they have just changed a setting so that the posts in a section don't count...

Staff members are probably pruning and deleting posts that are no longer active.

Yesterday I had over 600 posts and today I have lower than 600, but it's better to see a cleaner forum than the number of posts.

Well I have no objection in that. But no one was aware of it.. Was anyone?

Posts in games sections no longer count

If you lost a ton of posts it should be an example to you that you post way too much in the games

It was just being done, I was not aware that we had to announce something before it was done.

I have only lost around 20, not that bad.

Well the problem is solved. And I never asked anyone who has lost how many posts.. :|

why would it need to be added to the rules?
Games shouldn't count for post count anyways IMO. They actually didn't once upon a time on WTF.

Are you sure it still doesn't? Just because it doesn't increase your post count, I can't see why you couldn't still get casino cash from it. Would all depend on how the casino mod worked I suppose.

Apologies Benjaminp. The games thread does still give you casino cash, while not adding to post count.

hahah i was also suprised ...mine dropped to 200+,lost around 200 posts i guess.this mean i was addicted to games forum.

We simply did not want people abusing the game forum simply to run up post count to get into the premium areas.

It is not a rule, hence it will not be added to rules.

Look at it this way, you do not get post counts for playing in the games 'arcade/casino'

the benefits of having your posts pruned is that you get to celebrate memorable post counts twice. I got 5000 3 times, and now I'm going to get it a 4th

We have way more posts than you in general so naturally what we'd lose would be higher, however, some members lost 3,000+ posts and they had a lower total than us.

I don't think you posted in the games that much.

I seem to have lost 300 or so. Didn't think I'd participated in quite so many games... must have been that Associated Rhythmics thread that did it.
