Thread: Can't comment...

I tried to leave comments on some of the photo galleries and it wouldn't let me submit a comment. No error code or anything. Just when I hit submit, it doesn't do anything. I tried it out with a few different galleries and got the same thing.

Anyone else having the same problem? :eek:

Probably a permissions issue..I'm sure Colleen will get you fixed up when she comes on.

It's not working with vbulletin 3.7 then, no plans to fix it, have to pay to upgrade it and not interested in doing so.

vBulletin added a new security hash in this version to their forms, which means the gallery is outdated, we will have to decide what to do with it.

Time to change over to VB's built in gallery?

vbulletin said their gallery is not meant to replace the other known galleries as it's not the same thing. That's what I read.

Because it's not two galleries. I thought the same thing til I read what each is meant for. To view the current vbulletin ones you have to visit the person's profile, and go from there, you can't view others galleries from there, so it doesn't function the same.

The one we have, you can browse everyone's galleries as you should. But it's crap and I wanted to delete it anyway and people can just use their personal gallery feature, which is not the same but should be good enough imo.

The newer version also allows you to make the galleries private, so they can only be seen by people that you have as your friends.

I like that idea as well...

But it's not a central gallery where you can view everyone's, that's my point. vbulletin said themselves it's not designed to replace the actual gallery scripts out there. It will be deleted eventually anyway, it's a piece of crap I've hated since day one.
