NO clue what happened, I came back from vacation to find the server totally unreachable.
This hurt WTF and hurt my business bad as well, I'm out a lot of $$$
I should have taken my notebook with me!

It's weird. I was having problems reaching a bunch of sites today, and was beginning to freak out about it being a problem on my end. Turns out it was all different legitimate reasons on their ends. Glad WTF is back.![]()
Sorry grim, wish I had some way of contacting you earlier.
Don't beat yourself up about it, just bad luck on your end.
Glad things are operational again!

Yes same here.... I was wondering what was happening!!!

WooHoo! WTF is back online, I had just sent C an email. Sorry about the lost revenue.

Sorry about the drama man. Glad things are worked out!! I was about to email C when I got this email.
It never fails. The minute an admin steps away from the server is when it will go down. Luckily my network providers (PEER1) have 24/7 monitoring and will reboot/restart my servers if something happens when I'm sleeping or whatever.
Another convenient thing is to get a cellphone that's Java enabled and use MidpSSH which is a SSH client for mobile devices. That has saved my butt a few times when mySQL needed to be rebooted when I was out on the boat.
How long was the outage? I have been a little distant recently. Sorry to hear about the problems anyway. I did notice the site was down earlier, but I tend to blame my ISP![]()
Not sure how long it was down to be honest. Have yet to look into details.
I would guesstimate around 19 hours. It died all of a sudden while I was here.
Edit: Actually more like 15 (I thought it was just before I went out last night, but it was after I returned on reflection)

It was out at 8 am EST when I checked in this morning. It sucks that it always seems to happen when the captain is away from the helm.
I think Timmy broke it. He's broken everything else.![]()

Good work getting it back up, Grim!I figured you would get it fixed, I just didn't know when!!

I was all of a sudden wondering what to so with my Saturday!!! LOL

Glad to see we are back up againSeems a lot of site I normally visit were having problems yesterday. I was beginning to think it was me. any way Glad to see were back.

Good to see everything is back to normal![]()
Server is still up so that's good news!![]()
I freaked out when the Site was unaccessible, i freaked out more after the email.
Then noticed everything was back online, Grim to the rescue! Sorry to hear about the revenue, but it's good to hear the server is back up and running.

Honestly I figured you guys decided to move to a new server or something but with it being out most of the day and me using OpenDNS which gets updates pretty quickly I emailed C...Glad to hear the server didn't die or your HD go up in smoke.
Sorry bout the revenue Grim, it happens.
Oddly I'd run my computer nekkid (no virus software) for a while after I got just thoroughly exasperated at Norton making it run about as poorly as it would if it caught what it was being protected from (yep, circular argument)... and when it failed to connect to what's normally a rock solid server at your place it reminded me to break down and reinstall virus protection. Seems a tad quicker less the 200 or so tracking cookies collected in the interim.
Nice to see you back up tho... maybe a couple of these guys got out and witnessed that big bright orange thing. For those seeing it for the first time... we call it "the sun".![]()
I was also unable to visit the site. It is a good news that we are back.
Cheers!
cool, I am glad that it is back online again.
DP was just down. Must be something going around.
