Nice shoutbox, but you should install "Inferno Shout" shoutbox. It's the best IMO, with tons of commands, colors, fonts, and more.

#1 Inferno for VB blows.
#2 I was only testing something and the shout more than likely will not be staying.
We would see some spamming up there
Actually shoutbox on forums is not good IMO because;
1. People who ask for urgent help start shouting about it on shoutbox instead of creating thread and waiting for people.
2. Those who create a thread for any help, they start asking people to visit their thread and help them.
test post
(sorry I cant seem to reply to many of the threads here.. getting a fairly nondescript reason why)

That's vbulletin's built-in message, it doesn't allow us to change it per situation.
The rules (Webmaster Forum - Forum Rules) show which forums have requirements. Hope it helps.![]()
I like the chat... ti's clean simple and fun
I have seen many chat in my time as a member here... they come they go and come again it seems!
chats are fun but can be harmful to your computer sometimes but i enjoy them much and who knows I might ck this chat out some time or other Merry Christmas to you all Here and A Happy New Years
Don't see how this could be harmful to your computer.
Any way to hide the chat box?

There is a button to collapse it in the top right corner.
I'm still undecided on the chatbox. :sundecided: It's fun and nobody seems to be abusing it, but it takes up too much room on the top of the page. Could it be made vertical and run down the left side of the page? :shuh: If we are considering keeping it, that is...
This space is intentionally left blank
Click that and it auto collapses.
I must admit that it is fun having it up there....
Bottom of the forum kind of defeats the purpose.

I don't care for chat boxes :|

if it's possible, default the shoutbox to "collapsed".. that way, it would not take much space and those people who would want to use the shoutbox could still use it..
I think shoutbox feature is cool.. and very useful.. IMHO.
It's possible to auto collapse it, however then the people who want it not collapsed will say they don't want it collapsed.
I prefer all items being open and the user deciding.

I always use the getnew link anywaysI didn't even know you had a shotbox until I had googled the website url one day

Whatever you say boss..![]()
Chopping down the shoutbox, as you indicated the previous post (#2), would be -fun though.. But then in the end its up to you guys to decide.. you know what's best for this forum.
How many members wanted it for it to be implemented? I musta missed that thread![]()
Didn't know it's up to members
We have actually had many requests for it in the past. It's simply a test ATM.

...and members were like crash test dummies ?
Don't bother with the testing..![]()
not really leaving it up to them, the forum design by default lets them collapse areas they want collapsed.
