Thread: Newest Outage

The main hard drive on the server went out, it refused to boot.

So the techs tell me they will put a new drive in, reinstall the system software then connect the main drive as a secondary to transfer my data. This normally takes a few hours.

For some reason however I had to fight with the techs this time around, they would not respond, or simply respond 'server up' without bringing up the data issue.

So finally I started installing WTF on one of my other servers, the server that actually holds the nightly backups, right in the middle of the transfer they finally get back to me saying they are migrating the info!

Well now it's backup, sorry for the delay!

Glad everything is fine now, I was worried when I came by and saw the forum was down.

Yeah I can only imagine, the guys at my body building forum were going nuts 'on same server' Had more than one text me :eek:

If you encounter any issues let me know, I see one already, the ad management system is not working

I tried several times but all failed.Finally,it's normal now.Glad to see it is OK.

I haven't found any

Still tweaking settings, security, etc so if anyone notices any odd behavior please let me know.
