Thread: Would Be Nice to put our Twitter Profiles in our WTF Profiles

Would be nice to have our twitter profile show up just like it does or when we tell our profile what our yahoo, aim or icq is.

Just a thought

There is a VB plugin to do this (as I have seen it on other forums), and i'm sure Grim will look into it at some point.

Oh no, VBulletin is the type of forum software this forum uses - and a plugin would be something Grim would have to install on the forum for us members to use.

I'm all for having a small twitter feed in the profiles though.

Same here. Plus a link to the twitter page from the account info next to each post.

Definately Agree, allowing us webmasters to have a twitter feed on our profile and linking to our twitter page could be helpful, and allow us to follow other webmasters here on the forum

Personally, I don't consider about 3/4 of the people on webmaster forums to be webmasters. A webmaster to me is a lot like a web designer, but controlling their own websites instead of making sites for others.

So in that sense, a blogger is not a webmaster.

But even if you take a webmaster to mean someone who aims to make money online, then a blogger is not always a webmaster. Lots of people own blogs and write on them who don't care about making money from them or anything like that.

Awesome input on the matter, that aspect of being a blogger/webmaster should be considered into the equation.

Whether or not you are doing it for the passion, or whether or not you are out profit driven blogs/sites.

I, like other people, own blogs and various other web sites. I also sell different online services. I consider myself to be a webmaster and blogging is part of it.

Cool, also an interesting idea. A blogger at times cannot be considered a webmaster, but more often than not most true webmasters are bloggers or use blogs are part of their technique.

There is a plugin (I can't remember the name atm), it's free from vbulletin.org that should feel this need, grim pm me if you need a link.

In your case, yes. Should be less of a problem if you're tweeting other stuff in between blog posts.

Ton's of ways WP blogs have many pligins that do that.

Other tools are around for non WP (wordpress) sites. google social booking tools.

Excellent Link bozonessinc, I may have to consider using this service once I am fully ready to engage into the world of RSS Feeds and Twitter updates.

Still learning the ins and outs, but it is a thrilling learning experience.
