Yes, because it's very difficult to click that "unsubscribe" link in your UCP...![]()
This space is intentionally left blank

that's not the hard part. the hard part is I don't get notified that my post is gone, so I go the thread thinking people will have replied to it, and then no one does because it's gone.so they should just kick me out of the thread so I don't face disappointment at the lack of replies.

I just cleared this up at vbulletin and they said you no longer will get notifications once a post/thread is moved to an area where you don't have permission to view. Therefore, you were getting notifications from before the post/thread was removed, by the time you got here and checked your notifications, it had already been removed. You won't get notifications for trashed posts/threads. Besides staff rarely ever post in a trashed thread.![]()

I'm pretty sure it works like this:
If the entire thread is moved to somewhere that the user doesn't ever permission to access (ex: Trash Bin), no subscription notices will be sent.
However:
If just the that users post was removed from the thread. The thread still exists where he/she has permission to view it, thus they will receive subscription notices.

I'm thinking that user can just reply to the thread in question, and then they'll have the ability to subscribe/unsubscribe again.
I just mentioned it over at vbulletin in my thread as a possible new feature or something.
Why can't they simply unsubscribe in their CP, and or in the thread subscribe/unsubscribe?

Yes it's just a mouse click or two.
Thread Tools > Unsubscribe from thread
User CP > List Subscriptions > Unsubscribe
