Does beauty affect one's success in life?

As always, beauty and success are both interest topics for all of its influence. However, in this topic I am referring to beauty as a pleasing appearance, literally; physical appearance. Everyone desires success but, is beauty a contributing factor in its achievement............

Life has proved the if you are born beautiful you have more chances to be successful.

i don't think so..beauty can be quiet an edge but in the end it's the total personality that matters most...success cannot be measured by the physical appearance of a person, it can be attained by a lot of factors...the world isn't that cruel...
