Does anyone know a good free forum software besides smf and phpBB?

yea mybb is prob the closest to Vbulletin.

I know! I was poking around in its demo and I was surprised at all the pre-modded features. Gonna go with it for my final fantasy forum. w00t

My brother uses Vanilla, its got a nice look to it, but I'm not keen on the layout as a typical forum, but it work well for some and worth a look

Smf 2.0 beta 2 is out loaded with WYSIWYG editor and paid subscription built in.
Both function not available in MyBB 1.4(doesn't have beta out yet)

I'm a vb guy..as for free ones, I used to love SMF..but after looking at some forums using mybb, I fell in love. It simply because of the close similarity between two, mybb and vb.

i just installed mybb and agree with the theme issue. Too lazy to do my own and the theme I love keeps getting errors. Anyone how good the mybb site support is as far as quick help i their forums?

Never used Forum software before but have just setup an SMF forum at my buythemap website and I am really pleased with it! Thanks for the advice.

FUD Forum is made by one of the makers of PHP, its very tight code (secure) and performance is excellent.
