I want to run one on one of my new forums.

I have the certificates bought already, I want to give away 1 for this contest.

Any ideas on what to run? Using VB software if that helps.

There's an option in the AdminCP somewhere for it. You can specifiy a date span if I remember correctly.

You can see the top referrals in admin Take a look around there and you'll see it.

Edit: it is under users.

One idea would be to start a newsletter in your niche.

To encourage users to join you could have a monthly newsletter subscriber prize.

This will help people to join your newsletter and you can include referral links in the content to earn $$.

Yeah I forgot you can do referrers through the Admin CP. The links Colleen gave in the thread linked above just extend that functionality.

The second link for the posting contest is from a hack from Noppid, it's not even a product just a file you upload to you AdminCP directory and run from your browser. It should work with 3.7 as the table structure hasn't changed much.

^That ideas awesome and totally unique! I love it. I was thinking of like a scavenger hunt... make a list of words that can be found somewhere on your forum(or items/pics that can be found throughout other websites u own (easy traffic) but Wiki's idea is better.

I like trivia contests... Make a list of 20 or so trivia questions and the first one back with all the correct answers wins.
