I am fed up of updating this ..... too many updates compared to free one! Grrr

That doesn't make much sense. Updates are a good thing. It means they are adding new features and patching security holes.

And bug reports are all the time so expect to upgrade at least every 2 months, probably more often.

Many scripts already have auto upgrade features.

Yep, make everyone lazier and lazier, if everything keeps getting automated we'll all be fat for sure, at least online it doesn't matter so much.

Heh, it's really not that hard to upgrade. A 10 - 30 minute job at most.

I will be upgrading tomorrow, for now I'm going to bed. (Nearly 2AM here!)

This upgrade breaks the the Post Thanks Hack and I'm assuming the Post Groan Hack. I'm waiting on a patch from the developer over at vB.org.

For an upgrade that was supposed to just be bug fixes it shouldn't of broke anything. But hey what do I know?

As for all the upgrades, it would be nice if it auto updated but that presents it's own security risks; One forum package that does auto update, I forget which requires you to leave the root directory of the forum at 0777; that cannot be healthy. For the incremental upgrades, like 3.7.0 to 3.7.1 and eventually 3.7.2 it takes longer to upload the files then doing the actual upgrade.

#1 It did not wreck the groan.
#2 A semi automated upgrade function, such as you need to change permission and click a 'yes I wish to upgrade' is more what I'm talking about.
Not fully automated as it could break things when you are not there.

A hidden input field was added to showthread in the upgrade and I am 99% sure it's why the thanks plugin doesn't work, not sure why the groan one still works.
