    Default Help with vBulletin

    Hey, I have setup a new forum with an old database, actually the admin ID and PASSWORD I forgot, so is there a way to reset the password ? I could do it from phpmyadmin, but its sucking ATM

    Doubt it. You need to get in to change the email so it can then send you a link to reset the password, the password is encrypted anyway so you cannot just go into phpmyadmin and change it, you can just change the email in there.

    Colleen, can you give the phpmyadmin code for changing the email ID

    There is no code, you just go in, find the user table row for the admin, and edit it, then just replace the email address there with your own and save, no need for any code.

    changeid where id="123@yahoo.com" to "456@yahoo.com"

    ANyways, thanks for that, Got it now

    I meant, by running a sql code

    You could download vBulletin again and in the do_not_upload folder is tools.php this will help you regain access to the ACP. I wrote a tutorial on this a while let me get you a link: http://www.bigdan.us/on-the-internet...hat-to-do.html

    That should help you and it's much easier than mucking around in PMA.
