vBulletin - HUGE problem!

I've been running a forum for 2 years... everything just was just okay and the day before yesterday, I just couldn't believe what happened. All threads from all the forums (180 000 threads) have been moved into ONE forum. Everything is messed up.

The forum is big, 1.5GB DB, 1500 members visits per day, lots of discussions...

I don't know what could cause this, could be a database error? Maybe hack attack?

Threads just dont move by themselves.

Check the moderator logs, and good luck moving them all back, hopefully you had some sort of recent backup

If a database error occurred it could happen I believe.

You really should contact vbulletin and ask about this, it's possible they have seen it happen and have a possible explanation. I've never heard of it and am not too sure a database error would cause threads to all move.

A recent backup would be your best bet to put everything back to how it was, and again ask vbulletin so you can prevent it from happening again.
