What do you think about VB SEO?
Is it good for forums or it doesn't affect much on getting more traffic?
Should we invest $$$ on getting it or not?
Your comments please.

Total Waste of time in my opinion. Maybe in the past this may have been worth it, but Google has changed its mind about this and now it is not really that beneficial to have url re-write. I mean take this forum, and Digital Point for example, Neither of them use vBseo and look how well they rank.
well i dont think its worth al the fuss now google dose not just look at sites cos they have the keyword in the url but i do think if you have the exta moeny it could be a good thing to do for the users eg easyer to remember and people somtimes do look at the urls in google before they click them and they may see there keywords in the url so they are more likely to click it this what i have found in the pass

Don't get it IMHO
Plus I believe it can hamper other plugins![]()

I've never once seen a confirmed case that vbseo caused errors in another plugin
and I'm glad your forum is doing well, as we all know, there are a lot of factors that goes into a forum success.![]()

I've always thought that vBSEO is pretty expensive for what it's most touted feature is; rewriting URLs. Anyone with enough knowledge can do their own rewrite rules, not I but probably someone like Nintendo could. Since Google denounced the theory that keywords in URLs have very little to no relevance in ranking (which makes sense as file names can be manipulated just as easily as page titles and meta tags) I've been even more suspicious of vBSEO. When a product addition is only $30 cheaper than the whole product, it makes me think again too.
That being said some of vBSEO's other features are interesting, such as track/ping backs, and the cleaning up of multiple copies of the same post (showpost, showthread, and archive) is nice but I don't think those features alone are worth $149.
I have read thread after thread at VBbulletin.org about plugin 'now compatible with VBSEO' 'VBSEO issues fixed' etc, etc.
waste of money and time in my openion.does not worth spending that much money
I dont believe that it is good option... Its wastage of time and money..
vBSEO is definitely worth it if you have a vBulletin forum. Far as I know, it's really the only SEO mod for vB.
