Best free forum script(if possible with ajax)?

There are many free scripts but there's any script that includes Ajax?
I really would like to have one.

Personally I always go with PHPBB, its the one with the most features and modifications. It has been around since I first typed www.

I suppose it can be just a matter of opinion but I used phpBB for over a year and recently switched my forum over to MyBB - to me MyBB is so much better.

I find phpBB slow, unprofessional, ugly, and it's admin panel a mess. Go with MyBB - it has some AJAX features.

I suggest using phpBB , it really good forum solution and installing mods isn't a big deal and it isn't a task you need to do often.

myBB is good, i use it, easy to install and upgrade.

myBB contains some ajax as previously mentioned, but it depends on what exact ajax features you are looking for. There are many mods and plugins for both phpBB and other software which can add these features such as Ajax Quick reply and Ajax edit as in vBulletin.
