I made a forum recently. This forum is about family and experience.. I need peoples opinion and where I can promote The Forum...I already have it in google search....

Hire someone to write 200 word articles/posts. Hire a couple of paid posters to make comments on the articles.

Promoting a forum is definitely a very tough work. First thing that you need to have is a good content, a few active members, a good navigation and a little aggressive promotion will do. Try to target those people who fits in the niche of your forum.

To get a forum going you really need lots of content as well as finding a good reason for people to join! Make it controversial and people will be more interested.

I think you should do usual SEO routine, build links, get some more content on it and get the word out and hopefully it will take off at some point then.

First of all, change Your free hosting for something a lot faster an more stable, second - invest in a domain.
Third - create/let someone create a unique, stylish design for You forum, it will bring new users quickly, and thanks to that, You'll get more content in less time .

I think you must post the quality and unique content on the forum. Also submit the article having good information for the users.

to start off you should make a bunch of different accounts and basically talk to your self to make the site seem active. thatll give you something to promote and give the new visitors something to talk about.

I agree, you gotta get a domain so the site URL is easier to remember. I used to use sub-domains but some members on my host's forum recommended I get a domain so I did through myhosting.com.

I noticed a 5-10% increase in returning visitors and I think it really helped in developing my site.

hi!!! i like the design of your forum. especially its header, cause it creates a feeling of harmony and peace.
but i dont like the ads boxes where i should see the young woman (i cannot see her!!!!) or to shoot the shark. but i think its a casual part of most forums. unfortunately.

Just get a domain first, nobody is interested in posting on a free forum, after that ask some friends to help you and make a few topics/posts. After you have a decent content start promoting your forum.
