Default Need some guidance (Regarding owning a forum)

    Hello all,

I am very much interested in making my own forum. A place where designers can talk and have fun. I don't know any programming, coding, database... or that kind of stuff so can I have my own forum?

If I purchase a domain and a hosting package and install the vbulletin files on my server then my forum will be ready to go?

I am kinda dumb in this issue so please help me and let me know if I can do it. Or if anyone from you can help me with the installations

I know my forum may not get popular as other forums are but I just want to give it a try

Yes, you can have your own forum regardless of experience with the topic, however it is a lot better to have some knowledge. That being said, it's a lot of work to get a forum going, and to maintain interest. You will also need a dedicated staff once it does get going.

I will install it for you free of charge if you want. Let me know.

Lol, no, cause you never know what's involved with a fix. Installation is straight-forward and a breeze for me!

Yes, you should get a domain and web hosting and then purchase the vbulletin license. Once you have done that you will still need to do a little bit of designing so that you can have your own logo and maybe make it a little different to the thousands of other forums on the web today.
