The longest thread

How to play:
It's not a game.....It's a challenge.
Rules:
Don't double post. Try to post about something sensible. It doesn't have to make complete sense, or follow along with the current topic, but it has to be about something. It could be about something that happened today, or a memory, or a car you are thinking of buying.

I have started a few of these, one of which I started 10 months ago on one of my forums. It's at just above 1000 posts now. I think we can get to that in a few days.

The longest I have seen is 300,000 collective posts spread across 2 threads to ease up on server load. I don't remember where I saw it at. I do remember that they not only double posted, but there would be entire pages filled with single word posts by the same user. We can do way better than that.

Anyway, it can be fun, and to add extra challenge to it, I'll thank anyone that posts about something that is relative to the theme of the forum. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's webmastering.

Okay, so I guess since I started the thread, I'll give an example of the type of post I'm talking about:

Today had to be one of the toughest days I've ever experienced dealing with browser issues and tableless designs. I spent 9 hours this morning trying to figure out why an image wasn't floating right. Once I figured that out, I was met with problem then solution, and still haven't gotten very far. The plus side is that even though I've spent nearly 24 hours working on this theme so far, I've finally found a script that I can actually theme. K...Bye.

I think so....The off topic thread is casual...This is a challenge...

Plus, this thread is only a few minutes old, and the off topic only has 1000 (+/-) times more posts.

LOL...No, I didn't think that's what you were implying...I was expressing my optimism in the fact that even though this thread is new, it has already accomplished 1/1000th of what the Off Topic Thread has accomplished....

I bought the Lost video game today. Turns out you need a super computer to run it. It won't even run on my computer, it just closes itself.

I like daylight savings time, it gives us an extra hour of daylight in the summer months. I wouldn't mind if we could just keep summer hours all year long.

I am all for eliminating daylight savings time.

ANd I love winter, we need more of it.

My husband used to have a great deal worked out with the neighbors. He has a snowplow, so he would plow both of their driveways in the winter. In exchange, the neighbor on the right (who had a snowblower) would clear up our front walk all winter. And the neighbor on the left (who had a huge lawnmower) would mow the lawn all summer long.

But then one neighbor moved and the other neighbor got his own snowplow.

Long boring story, I just hope to get an ending to it soon. Yes, I spent New Years Eve in th hospital (and the end of December, begin of January) surgery on New Years Day! What a crappy start to the New Year!

Just read this cool thing MSI is doing:

I'm kinda curius, it would then need to end up spin up to a speed, then cool the chipset and then it partially stops, and then restart. Am i right?
In that case it can't be healthy :/
