    Default Pet Websites

I am curious to ask a few questions because I am planning for my site. I would appreciate any feedback at all however I would greatly admire the extra effort of writing 1-2 sentences for each of these questions:

    1) What features should the best pet resource on the internet have?

    2) What would you consider the most important aspect of the site? Content?

    3) Have you visited any pet websites recently? If yes, what did you like/dislike?

    4) If you have any extra tips on how to create the best pet website please post them here.

At this stage I am basically collaborating all of my ideas. I know it will take a lot of hard work and many sacrifices and I believe I am ready for this challenge. Hopefully with this communities support over the next few years I will be able to achieve my goal or attain a significant market share.

    Thanks in advance.

Moved this to the webmaster lounge, it's better suited here.

The "Forum Lounge" is for off-topic, non-webmaster related threads only.

Yeah, that is why I am asking.

I will post on some pet forums later on today with this question.

    1) What features should the best pet resource on the internet have?
Tips and suggestions regarding the habitat of the pet and also giving some info on how to take care of it or medication. (It depends on which pet you are actually talking about)

    2) What would you consider the most important aspect of the site? Content?
Same as above. (Something related to it)

    3) Have you visited any pet websites recently? If yes, what did you like/dislike?
    No...

Depends on what sort of site you want, at the moment there are so many forums, just full of animal lovers.

Probably be best to choose an animal or animals and have a look around. I have a budgerigar breeding and show site, that I will be working on in a few weeks, its just sitting there at the moment. I have an IN as my parents are well known, as breeders of budgies so have a lot of people that they can tell to join. But its hard to find members as most are scared of the computer, so they only stick to forums they know.

You need some knowledge on the pet as well as have a good group of people to help you out answering questions etc, great to get a vet onsite, as well as a few companies who sell whatever product these pets need and u will find that they will join your site. But you have to know the basics of petcare as members will ask you about them.

But it is hard to get a site going for pets as there are millions on the net, but good luck.
