Thread: What site make most revenue from adsense

Hi

I am wondering what style of site you think make the most money from add clicks.

By style i mean:
-Forum
-Blog
-directory
-standard sites
-other

It really depends Click is base on how many traffic you got and how popular is your site is..So it is really depends if your site has High CTR and has high traffic too

Whatever site you are launching its depends on site traffic and his theme if theme is new then CTR will be high and as you mentioned theme then click ratio and CTR will be very less.

yes you are right technohive but for me and some webmasters says that blog is the most powerful kind of site to gain revenue from adsense because blog are quick to load and easy when it comes to its navigation process. Blogs are tested already when it comes to this, that's why a lot of blogs sites now are being publish.

I notice that my big Win XP tech site doesn't get many clicks, but when it does they are worth more than the clicks from any of my other sites. Technology might be a favored niche by AdSense, or so it seems.

Let's talk about them:
Forum: It's an awesome creation, but the members get used so fast to the ads that it's kind of a necessity to move your ads daily, but that will annoy your users. So it's good that it auto-creates content (your users do it for you) but it's not the easiest way

Blog: Seems like the best way to earn money these days. It's easy to read for visitors and you can place your ads wherever you want. Best option IMHO.

Directory: Attracts mostly webmasters or software these days. Just worthless

Standard sites: Should be also a good option along with the blogs

I dont think that a particular site is going to bring more or less revenue.

I think that a site type in the long term can make the diference. For example having a forum with loyal members would be better in the long term than having a wordpress blog.

But I guess that the most important thing is Traffic. Not only quantity also quality !

I would respectfully disagree. Based on a discussion I had at V7N it seems education niche pays better than proxy niche, for example.

I couldn't agree more. To me, relevant traffic = quality.

The sites that earn money from adsense are sites that has good contents. if you don't have good content you won't attract visitors and in other way you won't get clicks...

classifieds sites and other sites with no traffic leaks (the only exit links are adsense)

My health related blogs make some pretty good per click values

My Windows blog gets much higher values for clicks than my proxy sites or proxy blog. Tech is a good niche, too, but proxy niche seems to pay very low.

I've heard from AdSense gurus that health niche pays well, too.

Depends on the health niche. Some of them I get 30-50 cents per click on average, others $2 or so per click.

It's all about traffic with adsense...Traffic = $$$

If you put a gun to my head and told me to put them in order from best to worst i would say:

standard sites
blog
forum
directory

In general, forums aren't ideal because you get many returning users, which bring down CTR and could result is "smart pricing". Forum + adsense could work but high new traffic is needed. Directories * adsense is terrible, it only attracts webmasters which means no clicks.

Your best bet is a blog or static site(but blogs are a hell of a lot easier to post, update, SEO, ect.) and just have great content. Fresh, new and interesting content can have users zeroed in on your article, then just put up some adsense within the content.

I've noticed that a little too. One of my sites that is about technology (sort of) hardly gets any clicks (hardly gets any traffic either, so i'm not that bothered) but when it does they are usually at least £0.50 per click (thats about a $1 per click for you yanks ).

Any site with decent traffic/se traffic/at a high number

Theres no ... this type makes more etc ...
But directories suck with adsense
And forums without huge number of members and SE traffic ear pennies ...

Certain sites DO make more money than others with adsense..........

It depends on how many visitors you will received.

Now that I know the deal with tech niche, I've been inspired to create more content on my XP blog. I've also changed ad placement and background colors to attract more clicks, which seems to be working. What's your 'sort of' technology site about?

Not nearly as well as some

for me,, forum makes alot since users visit lots of pages, there are many posts and in each thread there are adsense so there lots of hits.

It depends on how many traffics you have. It depends on SEO.
