Thread: HGTV.com- Joomla powered

Hi all.
We are thinking of developing an online community, much more like HGTV - Decorating, Outdoor Rooms, Landscaping Ideas, Kitchen and Bathroom Design : Home & Garden Television.

The portal will be a "home & garden" site populated with articles and topics related to this subject.
We also want to develop an online community for users, specialists, diy-ers,product manufacturers where people can share the knowledge needed to complete a given project.

We purchased IPB platform for our forums and we are thinking of choosing Joomla for driving the portal together with Jomsocial. We hope to fully integrate IPB with joomla(same user accounts,logins,sessions etc.)

Do you think something like HGTV - Decorating, Outdoor Rooms, Landscaping Ideas, Kitchen and Bathroom Design : Home & Garden Television will be achievable with joomla?
What kind of CMS do they us on HGTV - Decorating, Outdoor Rooms, Landscaping Ideas, Kitchen and Bathroom Design : Home & Garden Television
And last but not least, how can we implement a "rate-my-space" feature into joomla?

What kind of script do they use for "rate-my-space"?
Is Joomla a smart choice for this project? Is this achievable with some other CMS, other than Joomla?
