Question spam emails through Contact Us form

We are receiving various spam mails through Contact Us form of our website. In all the forms we see the company name mentioned is google and telephone no entered 123456 and we are getting these type of spam mails through
different IP addresses and from various regions and also different email ids. As a precautionary measure we have blocked few IP addresses, but since it is coming from varoius parts of the world, it is difficult to block all the IPs.

Can anyone tell me what are the probale reasons of getting this type of spam mails and also what are the possible solutions to prevent getting this kind of spam mails?

    Thankn you all in advance.

I wouldn't block IP's, these spammers keep changing their IP so it's useless. Just use a good CAPTCHA like ReCaptcha or a similar service.

It's always a good idea to activate domain keys or its equivalent in your control panel to prevent this sort of thing

How annoying! I'm having issues with spam comments on my blog. I don't have a contact us button on the majority of my blogs.
