I have been working on this website since about June of last year. Due to my spouses health issues I have not been able to give the site 100%, but rather have been moving along at a snails pace. I gained good momentum last year at the end of summer but not sure what happened.

I am using Joomla and had a custom component developed that is the main "focus" of my site. I would the "niche" is couponing, but really the correct term would be hobby. I really need to get the site done, however some changes need to be made to the component, and another one that I purchased set up again.

One problem is I am low on funds right now and can not afford to hire the original developer to do the changes, although they are small things he certainly is not going to do it for free. So my only option would be to find a partner of some sort. I am really leary of doing this for many reasons, unless I find someone willing to sign at the least a non-compete agreement.

There are a ton of sites related to this, but non have the whole package. I want this to work, even if I do not make a dime off of it. I am doing this for myself.

I need to get this done, however with all of the TLC hoopla with the current show, I have decided right now may not be a good time to launch as the couponing hobby is getting a ton of bad flack because of the misuse etc. And every body and their brother is wanting to learn to save $100000000 per trip, and frankly I would not rather start a website with a ton of newbies right of the bat and open up a can of worms that could be more trouble than it is worth. I would rather have seasoned veterans per se that could be around to coach people as they need help.

Argh guess I just needed to vent. My spouse knows nothing about this stuff and wouldn't get past explaining a closing tag before he fell asleep so I had to let this out some where. Advice? Anyone???? TIA
