Thread: Google's +1 Now Officially a Social Ranking Signal

When Google's +1 button rolled out, it was innocuous enough. It let people find out new sites, rate them and share their preferences and choices with other users. but now, Google has changed its public position and declared +1 as a proper ranking signal. This was not unexpected. However, the sudden change in Google's position has made SEOs and webmasters sit up in their chairs.

...we were assured by those in charge that this button was not intended to game search engine rankings… until it was. Google then changed its public position and said that it was an option they were looking at to improve search quality. Said Google: “The purpose of any ranking signal is to improve overall search quality. For +1′s and other social ranking signals, as with any new ranking signal, we’ll be starting carefully and learning how those signals are related to quality."

that's right now the +1 is one of the great factor to Google to rank a site and webmaster are having less control over that.

But its never effect on google serp results...

Actully when it was new people were talking about it everywhere it will affect SERP etc etc but yet i have nowhere read any personal case study that it affected SERP

So now,what can we actually do to get +1 clicked in our site.
